It’s time, my fellow puzzling savants, for another week of Wordle. Today is April 18 and the day’s puzzle had me on the ropes because I thought about it all wrong. It’s a good thing you’ve also got me to mess up so as to know how to not lead you all astray.

Have you tried today’s Wordle? It’s actually a surprisingly simple one, I was just thinking about it all wrong. I got four of the five letters on my first guess, just all in the wrong places. When you’ve got that many of the letters, you should do what I didn’t and start trying to put them together into parts of words you’re familiar with. With that many letters locked in, all you’re really left to do is reconfigure them until you get something that sticks out to your brain. If I just shuffled them around a bit, I would’ve gotten today’s answer in one more guess.

Capcom has announced the delay of Pragmata, a very unusual-looking space game first shown in 2020 and at the time scheduled for a 2022 release. That date later changed to 2023 but a new trailer, which gives us our first glimpses of gameplay, has announced yet another postponement: and this time there’s no new date, just a question mark.

At least it was announced in considerable style. The trailer shows the character we’ll call space dad fighting off robotic attackers as the little girl Daisy scribbles on a piece of paper, seemingly oblivious to the danger. After space dad has dispatched the bots, he grabs Daisy and hoists her onto his back. “Aren’t we there yet” she asks, to which space dad says “Sorry kiddo. We still got a ways to go”.

The note Daisy had been scribbling falls to the ground. The edges are filled with childish doodles, and 2022 is crossed out with an arrow pointing to 2023, which has been scribbled-out even more roughly, before an arrow pointing to a question mark. Looks like space marines versus demons roguelike Jupiter Hell will see its original form available on Steam, with pixelated Jupiter Hell Classic set to release before the end of this year. The release will bring the 20-some year development legacy of the Doom-inspired roguelike to a commercial release with new graphics and mechanics, as well as a setting update to match the world of the more modern Jupiter Hell.

The update will include Steam Workshop support for mods on its top-down, fully grid-based action. Once released, Jupiter Hell Classic will be available in addition to the original version of DRL.

“Classic DRL remains free on the ChaosForge website and will continue to receive updates alongside the new Jupiter Hell Classic version. Jupiter Hell Classic will be your official way to own and play DRL on Steam,” said developer ChaosForge.
