National Center for Health Statistics: Fast Stats A-Z
A rich source of information about America’s health. As the Nation’s principal health statistics agency, NCHS compiles statistical information to guide actions and policies to improve the health of American people. Fast Stats provides a unique public resource for child health information.
Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality
Provides data and statistics on child and adolescent health researches, information and
guidance on accessing and using the child health data sets and measurement tools available through the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
Health Data Interactive
This site presents tables that provide CDC health statistics for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. The tables can be accessed by browsing the content areas listed on the homepage or by using the search box. One can customize tables with any or all of the following characteristics: age, gender, race/ethnicity, and geographic location.
Catalyst Center
A national center dedicated to improving health care insurance and financing for children and youth with special health care needs. The Center is funded by the Division of Services for Children with Special Health Care Needs of the Federal Maternal and Child Health Bureau. It offers information on state health care coverage to enhance knowledge and collaboration among key stakeholder groups around financing issues.
YRBSS: Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System
The YRBSS monitors priority health-risk behaviors and the prevalence of obesity and asthma among youth and young adults. The YRBSS includes a national school-based survey conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
PRAMS: Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System
PRAMS is the best source of data on mothers and babies for over 20 years. A collaboration between CDC and state health departments, PRAMS is a surveillance system that monitors state-specific, population-based data on maternal attitudes and experiences before, during, and shortly after pregnancy. PRAMS provides prevalence and trend data on maternal and infant health that is used to inform programs and policies. Data are accessible through an online system called CPONDER.

US Census Bureau
Website provides a variety of information about children from several data sources. Information on children is available at the national, state, and sub-state levels. Information includes living arrangements of children, their well-being in terms of economic, health, family structure, etc.
Current Population Survey
The Current Population Survey (CPS) is a monthly survey of about 50,000 households conducted by the Bureau of the Census for the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The sample provides estimates for the nation as a whole and serves as part of model-based estimates for individual states and other geographic areas. Estimates are available on income, health insurance, poverty by a variety of demographic characteristics including age, sex, race, marital status, and educational attainment.

This Gateway to Data and Statistics website is maintained by the HHS Data Council. This web-based tool brings together key health and human services data and statistics. It is designed to complement other government resources such as FirstGov and FedStats. The Gateway covers federal, state and local government sponsored information on child and teen health..
